The latest 'essence' magazine article

Titled "The Danger Outside" by Jeannine Amber "Trayvon Martin....How we can save our children.

I read the article and it disgusted me. This is the June issue that just came out. Here is a quote....

In the early evening of Feb. 26, 3 weeks after his 17th Birthday. Trayvon Martin was walking to his father's girlfriends house in The Retreat at Twin Lakes, a gated community in Sanford, FL. The teen, wearing jeans and a hoodie against the rain, was noticed by George Zimmerman, 28, a White and Hispanic neighborhood watch volunteer who was patrolling in his sport utility vehicle. Zimmerman called 911, describing Trayvon as "a real suspicious guy". In the course of the call, he told the 911 dispatcher he was following the teen. The dispatcher replied "We don't need you to do that". Zimmerman ended the call and, moments later, shot Trayvon once in the chest. When questioned by police, Zimmerman claimed he'd acted in self defense.

The story goes on to tell about Sybrina and how she wept, and after hearing from Tracy that he had not come home the next morning she left work. She was so distracted she couldn't remember her computer's password, so she left work and went home.

Now, this is the latest issue and look at how they left out certain parts of the story in that little paragraph. No mention of GZ saying "ok". He did not call 911. It wasn't moments later...No mention of what Sybrina did between leaving work and finally ending up actually going to Sanford.
I know this is a black women's magazine, but come on. How long can they play this out without someone correcting them on their blatant 'mistakes'.

This is 3 and a half pages about Trayvon and how he was gunned down for 'walking while black' and how to protect our kids from racial profiling.

Another quote

"We talk to our boys about walking while black, but we rarely ask about patrolling while racist"
